Over the last 6 months, the University of Iowa Operator Performance Laboratory has worked with Shield AI and Kratos on the deployment of Autonomous Collaborative Platforms (ACPs) that are controlled by Shield AI's Hivemind autonomy core.

An AI tool — trained on data from novice and expert pilots — could help detect flight skill mastery, said Dr. Tom Schnell, director of the University of Iowa’s Operator Performance Laboratory (OPL).
